Well, I thought I was going to catch up on the blog...we worked out a few gliches thanks to Erin, so I am trying to figure out where to start. But tonight I just wanted to share something that I didn't want to forget. Lately, Tanner has had a love for money. A love to have it, a love to sort through it, and a love to spend it. Often times when I walk in his room, his coins will be display meticulouslyin rows on his bed. When I go to the store he tells me to wait for him while he gets his money. He then uses Adam's old wallet and he proudly stuffs it full of his coins, and his few dollar bills. (He LOVES dollar bills and wants to trade in quarters for bills when he has enough). While at the store the other day Caden pointed out that he really wanted a dvd for $5. I told him no and Tanner very sneakily comes up to me and hands me the dvd and offers to pay for it for Caden's upcoming birthday! I wanted to melt in the sweet moment as I was taken back that this boy would want to do something nice for his brother as they most often resemble cats and dogs when together... So I told Tanner how about he pays a little and I'll pay the rest and we'll get it for Caden's birthday! So we did!
Last week Caden was invited to go swimming and he didn't have enough cash to pay for it. But no worries....Tan the Banker Man was in the room and of course he told Caden he could borrow $2 from him! He was so proud to offer his big brother a little loan! So I'm thinking that if this boy loves money so much, he better start his own lawn mowing business soon!!

Preschool in Session
Tanner started his new career on Wednesday. For some reason he didn't want to take a backpack OR look at the camera, so this is the only picture I got of him at school, at his table ready to play with some play dough. Unfortunately he doesn't know anyone in his class. I think he would be more excited about the whole thing if he did. But I think with time, he will discover the fun!

Another video
The boys love to play this game of hide and seek. It's so fun to hear Gabe's little squeal when he finds Tanner. I just had to get a better recording (longer than 5 seconds) of these two playing together. Adam was just telling me that Gabe is always so happy. It's true. A little ray of sunshine and smiles! :)

Gabe the Babe
The other day Tanner wanted to hide in one of the cupboards so that Gabe would look for him. It was so funny to watch Gabe as he knew where Tanner was, but how he acted so surprised and thought it was funny when Tanner poked out of the cupboard. I ran to get my camera and caught two small episodes of it before Caden came along and put his hand in the camera!

Tanner to a T
I thought I'd write this funny for future use when I look back and try to remember all the crazy things Tanner did that made me laugh. He is my little "pack rat" and LOVES to load things into something only to unload them. He is famous for putting together some concauction of household items and putting them to a better cause using his creativity. Today it was a luggage strap wrapped around his tiny waist about 3 times to make a tool belt for all of his gadgets. In this picture he has a tape measure clipped onto it. This is only one of many little gadgets this little guy comes up with. I'll go to open a cupboard and I'll find a string or rope wrapped around the hooks which is connected to his motorcycle guy that is rock climbing up my cupboards. It seems he's infatuated with luggage straps. Whenever I have luggage out it's a guarantee that Tanner will be taking the strap, or loading it up and hauling it somewhere. His little brain is so funny. Often times I don't notice all the crazy things he's done until I go to get something only to find out Tanner's been playing with it. Thanks for the laughs Tan!

Hop in Baby, Let's Go!
So our new neighbors have a 5 year old girl Ali. She brought her car over and asked the boys if they wanted a ride. Of course they were in heaven being able to drive themselves. The only catch was it was a pink mustang -- granted that didn't stop them!!

Off to Preschool....

Oh what do you do while Cades at school? (to the tune of the primary song)!
So today Tanner found some Disney stickers in the junk mail, and while I was putting laundry away he decided to stick them to Gabe's face. Cute, but not comfortable when we had to take them off. This is just a little funny from Tanner -- always making me laugh. From the first picture you can tell that Gabe first spotted me with the camera and then he wants it!
Getting closer.....

Another Birthday Boy!
So today Tanner turned 4! We celebrated yesterday with the opening of presents, cake and ice cream, and later in the afternoon we all went to a park and then to a ward carnival. It was a great day! Here are some pics down Tanner Lane! And here's to all his funny faces! We love the Tan Man!

Brothers With Some Spike!
Yesterday Tanner was intrigued with making his hair "sPiKeY" so I asked him if I could take his picture since he doesn't like it done like this too often. I thought if Gabe were in the picture he'd let me take it!
