Gabe

The other night Gabe wasn't tired and didn't want to go to bed. He and I were in the family room together when out of the blue he asks, "Mom, why we have eyebrows?" Trying to be a wise mother, I asked him what he thought. His answer to me was "so we can have mean and happy eyebrows"! I asked him what mean and happy eyebrows looked like and he gave me some very cute faces! He is so funny!

BIG NEWS!!

I am VERY VERY PLEASED to announce the Mr. Gabe Cope is officially potty-trained!! Training this boy was a dream! Seriously! I thought we'd have to put on pull-ups at night and during naptime, but by the 3rd day, I was realizing I was wasting pull-ups because this boy knew what to do! Four days after we started we had to take a road trip and were on vacation for a week, and I thought I'd have to start over again, but I didn't!! He'd say, "I no want pull-ups, just my unnerwear"!! He's done amazingly well and he always tells me when he needs to go!

Thank you Mr. Gabo for being so cooperative in this department! 3 down and 1 to go! Yay!

Mr. Gabo

Before another day, week, and month roll by, I wanted to write a post about Mr. Gabe. a/k/a Gabo or Gabers. He is so funny -- every time I rock him for his nap or bedtime, he always asks me about someone - a family member, neighbor, or people in our ward. He wants to know where everyone is and what they're doing. He'll ask where our neighbor's dog is and if it's taking a nap or not. Seriously...if only this kid could be on Facebook..... He is a little social butterfly who can remember everyone's name and where they live. He's a little show-off too. He makes us all laugh and I'm so glad he's ours!

The Happy Dance

The other morning the boys got out their Speed Racer remote control cars and were zooming them around the kitchen floor. Gabe thought this was so funny -- he was going crazy! Just had to catch it on video and share! I can't help but laugh when I see him laughing!

Gabe the Babe

This boy has to wait another month for his birthday, but meanwhile, he is making us laugh all the time.
Lately, I'll find him in here doing this.... he's been watching his brothers too much! He just stands there and smiles and I start laughing.

Just this past week he has started saying everything we say. "Ready, Let's Go, Wait, What?, Rock a bye, Hussle"... It's so funny to hear him use the same influction in his voice -- he acts like he knows what it means! The BEST, though, is for the last 2 weeks he says thank you for everything! It comes out "tain too". He is the sweetest thing ever! If we hold a door open for him, he'll say thank you, whenever we give him anything, he's saying it. I hope this nice-mannered word stays around for a while!

As for me, I am enjoying my time in the mornings with this little guy since Tanner started preschool this week! I stayed home all day yesterday and cleaned out cupboards and drawers... something that's been on my to-do list since we moved in. I had high hopes that I could work on it this summer, but no such luck! I LOVE the feel of organized drawers and everything in its place. I LOVE the change of weather that is upon us (although today is supposed to be 90), and I LOVE the smell of harvesting onions that is in the air right now. Every time we walk outside, we're reminded of them down the road! And now it's on to freezing some peaches. Since we live in the "Banana Belt" of Idaho, we try to take advantage of all this fruit over here fallin off the trees! Tonight is Caden's first soccer game, and Tanner's tomorrow! Pics to come! I heart Fall!

Our baby goes to nursery!

Today was Gabe's first official day of nursery at church. Adam dropped him off and said it went well. After SS we peeked in on him through the window on the door and Gabe spotted his daddy. I guess after that incident he started crying for us and later took him to Adam. At least he stayed happy for 1 1/2 hrs! Gabe the babe is growing up whether we approve or not!
Gabe LOVES to wear everyone's shoes around the house. He especially digs my church shoes! (He's got my brown sandals on, but it's hard to see)
Luckily he didn't sport this face at nursery drop off!! (These make up for Easter pics, right?)

A little animal

We have a new little animal cave in our home. We found this little creature upstairs in the bonus room hiding in his cave. He loves this new hide out!

A new trick!

Gabe has learned how to fold his arms for prayer. He's so funny because he's so proud of himself! He is even sensing when prayer time is, so as we gather the kids together, we look over at Gabe and he already has his arms folded! Here's a video clip from dinner last week.

Gabe

While Miriam was here, she captured some great moments and pictures of Gabe.
Our favorite is of him waiving to Adam through the window. The boys were in the backyard playing in the snow and Gabe just wanted to join them.

Here is another one of my favorites -- just hangin out!

Saturday I gave Gabe his first "real" haircut (with the buzzer). My little baby doesn't look like a baby any more. It's crazy what a haircut can do. :(

Another video

The boys love to play this game of hide and seek. It's so fun to hear Gabe's little squeal when he finds Tanner. I just had to get a better recording (longer than 5 seconds) of these two playing together. Adam was just telling me that Gabe is always so happy. It's true. A little ray of sunshine and smiles! :)

Gabe the Babe

The other day Tanner wanted to hide in one of the cupboards so that Gabe would look for him. It was so funny to watch Gabe as he knew where Tanner was, but how he acted so surprised and thought it was funny when Tanner poked out of the cupboard. I ran to get my camera and caught two small episodes of it before Caden came along and put his hand in the camera!

Gabe's Birthday

Gabe had a fun, simple birthday celebration. He loved his cupcake/icecream cone cake!

Our Baby's One!

Yesterday (Wed) was Gabe's birthday. I decided to post some pics of him, even though Blogger is being very weird at my house and is only listing the html codes for the pictures; therefore, I can't move them around. I would have arranged them in chronological order, but I guess you get the idea. He is at such a fun stage. He's a little ray of sunshine in our family. Happy First Birthday Gabers! We love you!

Oh what do you do while Cades at school? (to the tune of the primary song)!

So today Tanner found some Disney stickers in the junk mail, and while I was putting laundry away he decided to stick them to Gabe's face. Cute, but not comfortable when we had to take them off. This is just a little funny from Tanner -- always making me laugh. From the first picture you can tell that Gabe first spotted me with the camera and then he wants it!

Getting closer.....

Tanner always wants to be taking pictures, so when I'm taking some of him, he wants to take some of me. So today I let him. Who knows..... maybe he'll want to be a photographer some day.

Ok, so he almost got all of our heads in!

Brothers With Some Spike!

Yesterday Tanner was intrigued with making his hair "sPiKeY" so I asked him if I could take his picture since he doesn't like it done like this too often. I thought if Gabe were in the picture he'd let me take it!

Our Little Man!

Gabe is growing up quickly and it's hard to believe his one year old birthday is coming soon.

He is army crawling REALLY fast all over the house and his newest talent is scaling the stairs. He LOVES to pick up anything off the floor and insert it into his mouth! (He does best at finding the smallest pieces of who knows what). He would rather do this all day than play with boring toys. He's so funny and we are so grateful he's in our family!

Yesterday Gabe was ready for a nap, and I was in the middle of trying to get something done before I layed him down. After putting him down on the floor I looked over one minute later and Gabe was already going nigh nigh. He was ready and I was too late! My kids NEVER do this, so I had to take a picture of it to remember it!
