A Bit of randomness.....

So after Christmas I got a little craft itch. I had seen the idea posted on
Shelley's blog (mini Martha Stewart + great photographer) over the summer and thought they would be fun for my boys. It's a fun, simple craft and you can be creative as you want. I surprised my boys with them for church and they have loved them! They are a great size for coloring/drawing on their lap! I think they make fabulous birthday presents, too! Just a little Mod Podge and scrapbook paper and you're set! I love using mine at the store to put my grocery list on. The boys like to cross off the items as we go! Thanks for the idea, Shelley! I was also very excited to get this cute little banner in the mail today! I was going to make it, but Megan wanted to sell me hers that she hadn't used yet! She's a great seamstress!

As for this ltitle guy, he is taking his first steps now! I can't believe he's almost 15 months old! Where did our baby go? (Sorry for the dark video- the main light wasn't on and I just grabbed my camera).

And on a sidenote (since this is also a journal for my kiddos).....
I was just driving home today from the grocery store when Tanner looked out the window and noticed a Walgreens on the corner. He said, "Mom, the Greenwall is finished!" (They're building one right at the intersection behind our house and we're waiting for it to be finished!)
Yesterday when making breakfast for dinner, Caden starts to ask me about the eggs I'm using. "So Mom, if this is an egg from a chicken, why isn't there a baby chick inside"? Nice, Cades!

Your crafty ideas look cute, Martha! Good job! Gabe looks like he could conquer the world with his big smile and little steps! Wow! He's not a baby any more - just a walking toddler! What a cutie! Hurrah for Walgreens on your corner too!
Love the craft! I still need to do that with my kids! We always need something like that for church! Yours turned out darling! Can't believe the little Gabers is walking around!! Glad you are a blogger so we could actually see it!
Very cute! I love the paper you used...but I am a sucker for scrapbook paper. That banner is fun and will come in handy. What a great idea to sew one so it will last. Fun stuff.
ps..each time I see your blog I LOVE your house. It looks so pretty. Oh how I want a newer home, it really makes a difference. We've done some nice things in ours but newer windows and doors are on my list.
Cute pictures and cute crafts!!! I wish we lived by each other, I need a crafting buddy. Great idea's!
