*Note: Tanner LOVED playing in the veterinary hospital. He did not want to leave. He was in heaven playing with all of the stuffed animals, putting collars on them, and then hooking the hookers onto the collars. (that's how he says it, too). He is so funny. They had real animal x-rays, water and food trays (bones included), and pet cages to haul the animals around in. Tanner tried to put the ginormous turtle in the cage with the collar and leash. I just stood in the corner and tried not to laugh because he was just in his own little world hoping nobody else was watching him. Had I thought about this, I would have gotten him collars and leashes (hookers) for Christmas and he would have been set!
Now this is a dream......
I think I would have lived here when I was younger. I mean look at this! Grocery Store heaven! For those of you who don't know, I am secretly obsessed with cash registers. I know, I know... weird. I can't explain it, but something just ignites within me when I see cash registers. I just HAVE to go and push the buttons. I spent HOURS playing store when I was a little girl. After going grocery shopping with my mom, I would beg her to let me play grocery store afterwards. She'd put all the refrigerator food away, and I'd play with the rest promising to put it all back. I would make pretend receipts, grab any play money around, write out pretend checks, fake many signatures, and bag everything up. There was nothing better. And still to this day whenever I walk by one (on display) I still have to just go touch the buttons to see what they feel like. So when I saw this setup, I secretly wanted to join in with the kids and pretend like I was 5 again, but I thought maybe all the adults around me who were taking pictures of their kids playing would think I was a bit odd. What they don't know is I'll be back!

Loved your blog about the Discovery Center. What fun to do on a cold winter day. Yes, I can just imagine you wanting to fill the grocery cart and pushing the cash register buttons. Sorry you had to be a bystander and just watch. Dream of the good ol' days!
Fun "fake" store. My 8 yr old would LOVE it there!
ps...no shame in loving that place as well, we all have our "quircky" things.
Looks like a great exploration place! That would be a great place for a cold winter day like you said. Looks like the kids had fun and are growing like weeds. I could see Rees at the pet place as well and my girls would be at the Grocery Store. Maybe they would want you as their Cashier!!!
