Father and Sons Campout 2010

This past weekend Adam was REALLY, REALLY brave. He took ALL 3 boys with him to the Father and Sons Campout! I have to hand it to him because they all 3 came back without any scrapes, bruises, or serious water accidents (at least no one spilled the beans)!! Usually Adam's rule is that they have to be potty-trained, but for some reason Gabe won his heart over and he wanted to take him. I surely didn't stop him! Kennedy and I enjoyed a serious shopping trek that she still is recouperating from! Of course Adam didn't take a camera with him, but our Bishop took this picture of Mr. Gabo and emailed it to us. I'd kind of like to be a spider on the table and see how the whole campout rolls, but on a second thought - that might be scary to see how they survive. Funny about Gabe (told to me by Adam).... It was around midnight when Adam got the boys down for the night. As they were sleepily crawling into bed Adam noticed that Caden and Tanner were out quick. Right when Adam was laying his head down on the pillow, he hears Gabe starting to wimper which turned into a cry, "Where's my mommy?"!!! Love you Gabe!! Luckily within a few minutes he was consouled and off in dreamland!

The great thing about these campouts is of course GIRL TIME!! This year was especially fun since I got to spend my girl time with my own girl! I can now see some fun traditions in store for us! HOWEVER......it's a bit deceiving when they're only gone for 22 hours and then come back with piles and piles of yucky, dirty, boy-smelling clothing that I have to wash!!

Seriously..... my laundry room is giving me major anxiety attacks -- really - every time I walk by it my heart starts to pound harder as I try to figure out when we're going to find time to get it sorted, folded, and to the right rooms. This picture doesn't look bad, but that's because there are 2 loads missing - one in the dryer and one in the washer... I tell my boys we're going to have a laundry party and they just laugh at me. But little do they know I'm serious!! (By the way I LOVE that pink little pile in the corner -- so cute and it doesn't smell like boys!)

P.S. Here's a picture of Caden at school when he earned the "Star Helper" award last month! Great job Cades - will you remember to be helpful to your mother?!
