Right before the 4th we had some concrete curbing poured in our back yard. Of course the weeds had taken over (while we were waiting for a few weeks for the curbing company to come) and it looked like a mini shrub garden back there. Adam and I rolled up our sleeves and went to work as we pulled the jungle of weeds and cleared it for planting. Soon after, he layed the weed barrier down, and then I went to get plants/shrubs and flowers and we've been busy planting. I'm not sure if the Oregonians that came last week recognize this picture, but now this is the view from our windows! Yay! I love to see the fruits of our labors!
Speaking of fruit (or vegetables)... the boys were so excited to finally have zucchini that was ready to be made into zucchini bread! And yes, the two loaves were pretty much gone in two days!
