Sunday bonuses

For the last while - maybe 6 months as I have sat in church during sacrament meeting, I have realized that it really is one of my favorite times of the week - seriously! I've realized that it is one of the very few times that we are all together as a family and it is QUIET...the kids are busy drawing, Gabe and Kenz are sitting on our laps and for the most part they are all being reverent -- I can actually listen to the speakers and feel what they are saying. It takes me back to a time (6 yrs ago) when Cade and Tan were super little people and all Adam and I did was take turns going out with one child and coming back to relieve the other. Then when we had Gabe and realized what we had been missing out on all these years! He was and is so mellow, content and quiet. We are realizing the same thing about Kennedy -- she just sucks her thumb and hangs out and sits on my lap THE WHOLE TIME!! She's an angel - and a cute one at that! In the last week I've had 3 dads come up to me and tell me how cute they think she is - I can't agree more and I'm so thankful she's in our family.

Bonus #2 - I just got back from going on a walk with the older two boys. Caden brought along a football and asked if we could play pass together while we walked. I said sure! As we're throwing the ball around he says - Mom - that was a really good throw --you even know how to throw a spiral. That's pretty good for you! I said what do you mean for me? Well, you just don't play football that much. I said well, I guess that is really good for me because I've never played football! Thanks Caden! Gotta love Sunday bonuses!

I'm glad you are finally enjoying the spirit of Sacrament Meeting - it is about time! I'm glad these two little ones are quiet and content and allow you that privilege. Way to go on the spiral football throw!! Must be one of your hidden talents. You shine whether it is in your kitchen or the football field!!! Go Seri! You just scored 6 points!!

Kids say the cutest things when we least expect it!! Way to go on those spirals!!! I agree on the church post too. It's so nice enjoying my kids during that time. They snuggle up with me for an HOUR, that doesn't happen like it should during the rest of the week. Mabye we're all just so tired after the effort it takes us to get to church on time!!! LOL I have to agree..... your Kennedy is adorable! I still can't believe she's one!!!

Enjoy your two young content ones, especially for Sacrament meeting. I only got my first one to be like that, so I'm still walking halls and hanging out in the mother's lounge till sacrament mtg is over and he can run to nursery.
