Super Hero Family Home Evening!

This past weekend we attended a fabulous stake conference with Elder and Sister Clark (from BYU-Idaho) as the speakers. It was amazing! The theme at Sat. night's meeting was strengthening/protecting and building up our fortresses and families. As Adam and I talked about this, he thought of the idea of having a family home evening on it and incorporating super heroes to defend and strengthen our fortress. The boys thought it was so fun to dress up in their super hero costumes and show us how strong they are. We talked about how Satan's temptations try to influence us by coming in our home through music, t.v, internet, etc. and that we need to be strong in protecting each other and protecting the spirit in our home. (Funny thing is Caden didn't believe there was bad music out there or really bad shows - we had to tell them there are, but we're trying to keep them OUT!!) We talked about whose team we want to be on - The Cope Team or Satan's team and what each of our super hero powers are. We came up with Caden = good leader, Tan = great helper, Gabe = helps us be happy, Mom = organizer, and Dad = Super Dad!
