Urchies & Smores

Today was a BEAUTIFUL Sunday afternoon and evening. We went on a nice little bike ride as a family (I found a bike Fri. night)! So we were all able to go! What a treat! As I'm riding on a little bike path with Tanner in front of me, he calls back to me and says, "Mom, there's an urchy up here"! I said, "Tan, what's an urchy?" He said, "right here where you have to slow down and turn quick!" I just started laughing -- as only Tanner would think of something like that!

Afterwards we came home and decided to make Smores for the first time (I don't know why we hadn't thought of this earlier). Adam had just pulled the grill out and I had just stocked up on Smores supplies thanks to the fabulous Doubler sale at Albertsons last week!



And now Mr. C and the boys are planning on camping out in the backyard tonight in the tent! Perfect holiday weekend idea!

And for journaling purposes (before I forget) I am now teaching Caden's primary class! After my first lesson, I was asking Cade how it was having his mom as the teacher. He said - well, the other teachers are good and fun, but you are 100% fun! I just thought that was cute! It's been fun teaching his class and seeing him amongst his peers!

And for a funny last night. We were struggling trying to put Tanner to bed last night. He came down several times and the last time he said he needed a nightlight, so he he had it in his hands and I thought he went upstairs. As I was working on the computer, I heard him yawning -- thinking it sounded closer/louder than normal. I continued working, and when I was done, I walked out into the front room and saw this! We just laughed! He has never done this, nor slept in this location (in the corner where the couches meet. But it was cute and cozy, and he even had his nightlight!
